Wendy Powell (founder)

Wendy PowellNo More Excuses was founded in 2002 by Wendy Powell (Dip PT). As well as being highly qualified & experienced in all areas of fitness instruction, Wendy has specialist interest & skills in exercise prescription & nutrition for pregnant & postnatal women. She has undergone extensive further training & has trained dozens of satisfied clients (see It Worked For Me).

Wendy is mother to Ava, born October 2005, & Stanley, born July 2007, & so understands first-hand the reality of combining fitness with pregnancy & child- care! She is committed to updating her own, & all our trainers’, health & fitness knowledge – by providing ongoing further study so that our clients receive the most up-to-date & effective techniques & advice available. Wendy regularly provides expert advice & contributions to bodies such as the National Childbirth Trust & the Federation of Antenatal Educators. Jacqui O'Shea Dip PT MSMA

JacquiJacqui is our Head Trainer, & is also responsible for coordinating the specialist study & training practice of all our trainers. Jacqui has worked in the fitness industry since 2003 - Beginning as a freelance personal trainer & sports massage therapist qualifying with the highly respected Premier Training; then as a Fitness Manager within a large corporate company; & as Manager of a rehabilitation unit within a chiropractic clinic, working with patients following treatment to educate & maintain a level of fitness which enables them to remain injury &/or pain free.

She has built a successful business & excellent professional reputation in one-to-one personal training & postural rehabilitation. In 2005 Jacqui focused her studies on the specialist area of pregnancy & post natal fitness & has an exemplary track record in this field. She is an exceptionally popular trainer who empowers our pregnant & postnatal clients to achieve specific, tangible goals from the programmes she devises & oversees.
